The idea of team midwifery is so that every expecting parent and their family has access to a community of birth professionals. Each team member is skilled and trained in various area's of holistic midwifery in addition to being CPR and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certified. Every prenatal appointment is conducted by a Senior midwife, one assistant and one student. Expecting mothers can request different levels of interaction prenatally with different team members.
When you are in active labor your birth team will include your Senior midwife, iassistant/student.
Please note: For the safety and well being of every expecting mother and her family, AMC will not attend a birth without at least ONE additional team member.
